Lukenbach Trustee Council

The Lukenback Trustee Council is comprised of representatives from several agencies including California Department of Fish and Game, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Park Service. The council are responsible for the disbursement of the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund. The projects funded by the council are intended to compensate for impacts to marine species caused by oil leaks from the S.S. Jacob Luckenbach, a vessel that sank off the coast of San Francisco in 1953
