International Invasive Species Projects
In addition to our work on Canadian island restoration projects, Coastal Conservation has also provided expert opinion on a variety of international invasive species projects, including but not limited to:
- developing non-target (native species) risk assessments for islands in the South Pacific and French Polynesia on behalf of Island Conservation (www.islandconservation.org);
- reviewing project feasibility plans for the US Fish and Wildlife Service; and
- reviewing invasive species proposals for projects in the Caribbean and South America on behalf of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
